How do I start a new record?
Create challenge rules
Before you submit a new challenge, spend some time thinking about the rules for your challenge. Let's use a basketball challenge as our example. We will title the challenge "How many baskets can you make from the free throw line in one minute?"
The title defines a couple of rules already:
- Baskets must be made from the free throw line
- The time limit for the challenge is one minute
So, what other rules might be necessary? Spend some time thinking about potential loopholes.
Here are some examples to consider:
- Does the basketball need to be NBA regulation size?
- Can the challenger have assistance from another person (someone to rebound the ball)?
- How many balls can be used in the challenge attempt?
- Can other equipment be used, such as a net under the hoop that rebounds the ball to the challenger?
We will accept challenger videos that follow the rules literally. If a challenger takes advantage of a loophole, their submission will still be accepted. However, if you submit a challenge and a challenger discovers a loophole, don't worry—learn from it and submit a more specific challenge next time.

Record and convert your video
After you determine the challenge's rules, break out your video camera! It's time to set the bar. Record the challenge video, then use video editing software to convert the footage to one of our accepted file formats: .avi, .mp4, .mov, .mpg, and .wmv. There are plenty of free, easy-to-use programs available that will convert your footage. Newer Windows-based computers generally come equipped with Windows Movie Maker. For Macs, the software is called iMovie.

What is the Watchlist?
The Watchlist provides you with an easy way to keep track of challenges that interest you. Adding a challenge to your watchlist is essentially the same as bookmarking the challenge. Once you add a challenge, it will show up in your profile until you remove it.
